China Car Sales to Fall by 17%? Not Likely
There's nothing like a small bit of scare mongering is there? This week Credit Suisse announced that automobile sales would fall in China by 17% if more cities follow Beijing's policy of placing restrictions on the number of fresh cars allowed on the road in any one year. While I can know that dealers will be pleased to have this kind of "news" in the public hour as they are the ones suffering in Beijing, there's no sensible evidence to believe this kind of analysis.
