How Hydraulic Jacks Function

Many of us have often wondered how some technological advancements like a hydraulic jack employment. The secret is simple and has nothing to do with complex mechanisms. This device, as many other, employment on the basis of Blaise Pascal's Principle that in a closed container, the pressure at all points is the same. Mathematically pressure is described by Energy divided by Area. This method that if you have two connected cylinders - a large and a small one and apply some energy on the second one it will result in a pressure, and since it is the same at all points, the large cylinder will be under the same pressure.
