Australia's Northern Territory: The Birthplace of the Modern Day Road-Train
The first 'Road Trains' in 'The Territory' were steam powered locos hauling distinct trailers in the desolate areas of the Northern Territory of Australia, in the 1920's. Then in 1934 the AEC built Administration Road Train arrived in Alice Springs, and operated in the 'Top End' for about 10 years. More information: more
