History of the Volkswagen Golf GTI

The Volkswagen Golf GTI was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Exhibit in 1975, arriving in the UK two years later in 1977. Originally the automobile arrived in the UK as left palm propel, leading to sales of just 34 vehicles in it's first year on our shores.
