BMW X5 - A Cross Between a SUV And a Sedan
Launched in 1999, BMW quickly differentiated its off road vehicle by marketing it as an SAV, Sports Activity Vehicle, instead of SUV. The tweaked labeling was not a mere marketing gimmick as it pointed outside at the sportier propel of X5. Like its main rivals, Mercedes M Class and Lexus RX, X5 also utilized unit-body frame, making it lighter and stable than a complete fledge SUV however sturdier than a sedan and MPV.
