The Functions of a Chrysler 300c ECU

An Engine Control Unit (ECU), or a Powertrain Control Module (PCM), is an electronic device which consists of a microprocessor and a series of actuators and is used to ensure the optimum running of an internal combustion engine. The Chrysler 300c ECU communicates and reads the data from a myriad of sensors within the engine and adjusts the various engine performance parameters by using multidimensional algorithms and performance maps. Engine control units have ushered in a fresh era of automotive performance, and have eliminated the manual actuation of air/fuel mixture and ignition timings. More information: more
