Lower Sales Output Prompted GM to Temporarily Stop the Volt's Production
Common Motors has once again chose to temporarily stop the production of the Chevrolet Volt in its Detroit-Hamtramck plant in Michigan for five weeks due to higher vehicle inventory and lower sales output brought about by slowing of the Volt's sales. This recent choice marks the second temporary stoppage of the production of the Chevrolet Volt since the factory has also stopped production of the Volt at the end December 2011.
