The Trouble With Trifles: Keyless Ignition Headaches
Key fob, or remote control, batteries in push-button commence vehicles go dead very quickly. In order to commence the vehicle without a key, the remote control must send outside and/or receive a radio signal continuously, or nearly so. The lifetime expectancy of the battery in the key fob can be as small as 12 months. Thousands of drivers are caught unprepared by dead key fobs in their busy lives every year.
